Blog 2

Last lesson we were thinking of getting an organisation. We had our product, which is Message in a Bottle and know we need an organisation to represent out product. We didn’t really have many ideas, until the end of the lesson.
Skye brainstormed on what the product cost, design and the back label. We came up with few suggestions such as; a big bottle with a message in a bottle, a toy of a refuge girl carrying a bottle and a key ring. The group worked really well on what organisation we should pick. There were only three refugee organisation that we looked at; Austcare, Oxfam and Operation Blessing International. We had a decision between Austcare and Operation Blessing International. This is because I wanted to do Austcare because it looked on areas such as; Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia and lots more. Skye and Caitlyn wanted to do Operation Blessing because they said that Austcare talks about certain countries not just the whole area of Asia, Africa or North and South America (which Operation Blessing does). Skye really helped me make up my mind on what to think about Operation Blessing and I got to see both pictures from them. Caitlyn did a little bit better today because she supported in what Skye said about Operation Blessing and in the end I had to agree with them because they had the point on what out of product really is.
Overall we, as a group have been working together will in finding out what our product is and, we have been putting our heads together, coming up with great ideas in what our product is. We had some down turns in making decisions on what organisation we were doing and what our target audience is. Having ideas that other people in our group disagrees on, makes us realise that there are errors and those errors can be fixed in future lessons.

  1. You have successfully described the tasks/activities you completed in this lesson and discussed the effectiveness of the team communication and team members. When you mentioned the downturns in making decisions and selecting a target audience, you may have benefitted from stating why they inhibited the success of that particular task. When presenting information on what areas of success or weakness, you needed to give reasons for the success or failure. By doing this, this helps show your ability to analyse events.
